Our lawyers have earned a reputation across Michigan as leaders in our chosen legal practice areas. Attorney Barry Fagan is a founding member of the firm. He represents workers in disputes with employers, including claims of discrimination and retaliation, whistleblower claims, and violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act. Mr. Fagan also represents workers in negotiations regarding severance pay and benefits. He has earned a number of significant jury verdicts and seven-figure settlements on behalf of his clients. He has been selected as a "Michigan Super Lawyer" each year since 2007. He has also been selected for inclusion by his peers in "The Best Lawyers in America" in the field of Labor and Employment Law and as one of the "Area's Top Lawyers" by Crain's Detroit Business. He is the current Co-Chairperson of the Employment Discrimination Committee for the Michigan Association for Justice and also is a member of its Executive Board. Albert Dib represents clients in medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. His efforts have led to a number of multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts. His efforts have led to the largest medical malpractice verdict in Macomb County — $2 million, and in Bay County — $1.42 million. He is an adjunct professor at Wayne State University Law School and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, teaching courses in Medical Malpractice Law, Litigation Skills, Health Law and Pretrial Advocacy. He has also published numerous articles in legal journals on the topic of medical malpractice.
Darcie Brault represents workers in disputes with employers, including contract and pre-suit negotiations, and in EEOC proceedings, in arbitration and in state and federal courts at the trial level and appellate levels. Her experience ranges from breach of contract and fraud claims to complex statutory claims under state and federal civil rights laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, The Americans with Disabilities Civil Rights Act, and many others. Ms. Brault is acclaimed by her peers, being elected as Chairperson of the Labor and Employment Section for the State Bar of Michigan, a group of thousands of lawyers practicing in this area. Further, she has been selected for inclusion in Michigan Super Lawyers, as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Michigan, as a "Top Lawyer," by dbusiness, and as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the field of Labor and Employment Law. She regularly speaks to other lawyers on the employment-related topics and recently spoke at the annual convention of the National Employment Lawyers Association about FMLA developments.
